I am a car sales agent in a growing car company. The company started its operation last June of 2010 because according to Chinese belief, it will be the best month to open the business. The brand name of our car is still not that known to all, but rest assured, it can level up to those that are known in the market. As months passed, we were surprised to see how our sales have gone on its peak. This was not what we have expected considering we are new to the ears of consumers. However, as the year ended, there was a proposed plan by the government to increase car taxes. This will somehow help regulate car companies’ that are bringing smuggled cars to any places. The proposed Car Tax April has brought drastic changes to our sales. The law will take over by the month of April, and as early as November, we were informed of such changes. Our marketing team needs to work double time to attract clients even if they will be charged with bigger taxes. The company has to keep on attracting clients so that we can keep up with our sales. Sad to say, those Chinese beliefs that were predicted before we opened the business did not foresee these changes. |

As a web developer and designer Elizabeth has been contracted by several companies to design their web site for them. Sometimes they would even ask her to write some of the web site&rsquos content. With her current project she is developing a web site that deals with company car tax hybrid and apart from working on the dynamic site they also requested that she create the content of the Frequently Asked Questions page. Of course material would be provided and she has to summarize it and make it web user friendly especially for those who are not to internet and computer savvy. Elizabeth said that she is given a week to come up with a draft for the web and if all goes well she is given at least a month to get the site up and running. The client said that she will be provided with images, videos and anything she would need to complete the web site. Elizabeth is rather confident that she can come with the design before a week and finish the entire web site in less than a month. |

The postal service was the best mode of communication when other modes of communication were not developed. People used to exchange letters with their near and dear ones to get information about them. Not only letters but parcels were also sent to far off places through posts. But the development of modern means of communication like telephone, internet has severely affected the postal service. Not only are these means of communication faster but they are also cheaper compared to postal services.
Moreover from my own personal experience I can say that we cannot rely on postal services, and I now rely more on private firms for deliveries - one couriers in Manchester springs to mind as a company I rely on.
In regards to the postal service, once I had an interview and the company had sent the letter for the interview through speed post which is supposed to reach very fast. I did not get the letter and on the day of the interview my friend called me as she had also applied for the job and had received a letter. I immediately called the company to enquire and they give me the details and said that they had sent through speed post. I contacted the nearest post office but they did not pay heed to my complaint. I was forced to write a letter to the head of the postal department saying that I'm going to miss my first interview because of the carelessness of their staff. It was only after a week that I got the letter but it was of no use since the interview was already over. My experience of postal service is so bad that I hardly use the service anymore. |
