I'm Lucky That My Friend Happens To Be a Doctor

Health and Beauty
I’ve always been pretty healthy growing up as a child and into my teen years. Now I am 20-something and all my problems started. It all started a year ago everything in my life was going pretty good with a precious son, a loving boyfriend, a new (used) house, and a good enough job.
It hit me like a ton of bricks.
I would be at work falling asleep at my desk. I would come home from work and take a nap then go to bed as soon as my son was asleep. I started majorly slacking off on my house chores, even the everyday simple things like loading the dishwasher or doing laundry).
This is when my friend, the doctor comes in. After a couple (ok maybe 5 months or so) months I set up an appointment with my doctor. He diagnosed me with severe depression and bipolar disorder. The medicine he prescribed wasn’t working after 4 months of tweaking it under his supervision. So last month he ordered blood work to be done. The results: Vitamin D level is good, thyroid level is bad. Stress was one of the triggers of my depression, so I now have a "de-stressing regime" that involves practising yoga, relaxing in hot tubs, and meditation sessions. I explained to my ever-so patient boyfriend that that completely explains why I was always so tired, lazy, and sluggish. So now I am happy to say that I am starting to feel much better and my depression/bipolar are under control too. If it wasn’t for my friend, the doctor, I never would have gotten better.
