Dad, stop it! You are pushing me too hard. This is not working for me anymore. Don't get me wrong, daddy. I know that you love me and I know that you only want what is best for me. But I am not a kid anymore. I am an adult and I would like to think that by now, I am responsible enough to make good choices. You can't be the one deciding for me all the time. I hate to say this but this is my life, daddy and I feel that I should be the one calling the shots. Look, you are a great doctor and I am proud of being your child. But I hope you can respect my decision of not following your footsteps. Dad, I cannot be a doctor like you. I don't want to be one. I can't stand the mental training in medical school. It's just too much for me. What I want is to become a teacher. It's a simple profession, but it is noble and it will make me happy. |

Joy celebrates her birthday today and as she turns nineteen, Carmen celebrates with her. Joy is thankful for the gift of friendship. If she did not meet Carmen before, she cannot tell for sure where she would be now. Joy had a very lonely past. She did not have friends. No one wanted to be near her. She was judged unfairly by many just because she was the daughter of a convicted robber. It was painful for her and so her defense was to stay away from people. Because of that, she never trusted herself. She did not think that she was capable of being a successful person one day. But things became a lot different since the day she met Carmen. As soon as Carmen knew about her past, she was determined to help her friend rise above it. Through confidence coaching, Carmen slowly made Joy realize that there was no need for her to get stuck to what happened to her in the past. Carmen taught her that life can still be beautiful as long as she chooses to be happy. |

My baby sister just made the high school soccer team and she is very exited. She has hypertension and is on diuretic medication. She loves eating and she does not have a problem with weight. Being very energetic does not give her room to accumulate fat. Another reason is that she is naturally petite, takes after our mother. There are some of her team mates who are envious of her. Some are her friends and they practice soccer together, do their homework together and even go shopping together. They are the best players in their soccer team. The other day she and her team mates were made to see sport psychologists at a local sport psychology department. This began when my sister noticed that her hypertension diuretic drugs were missing. One of the players started losing weight drastically and the coach caught her with the pills. She accused my sister of using the same and that is why she had to see the sport psychologist. That was not even necessary because her medical records showed why she needed that particular medication. |

Most employers who are male are very biased when it comes to employing females. They only hire the desirable ones because if a false notion of bringing by a beautiful image at their companies. Honestly speaking this is a very dumb protocol of hiring women. And as a man I am appalled and very embarrassed by this breed of men who have no regard for quality performance. Before I got to the point I am in, my best friend who is also my business partner and I went through a very interesting course on performance coaching. It was very rejuvenating and we learned a lot after those few months. When we began our own company we vowed never to hire a female out of looks but out of credentials. If she looked good to the eye and also met the requirements for the job we would hire her. We were once hired by a man who got very bad performance because all the managers were women and they had no clue about their job descriptions. We were not going to make the same mistakes. |

The other day I took a day off from the office to go visit my grandpa. He has not been well for sometime now and I wanted to see how he was doing. I was very happy to see that he was fine, better than he was the last time I saw him. After talking for a while, I realized that he was actually doing great and he was taking great care of himself, by eating well and on time, taking his medication as he was instructed and even taking some exercises in the house. I wanted to reward him for that, and I decided to get a golf psychologist for him. Golf has always been his favorite game and having been ill for a while now, he did not have enough time to learn the whole game. He was very excited about the idea. I checked online for at least one psychologist I had heard about and after getting his contact, I left a message for him. He called the following day with a schedule ready for grandpa. I have never seen grandpa so happy in my entire life. |

Safety experts all agree that for kids' toys there must always be some protocol in order to ensure that they are secure enough for the kids of the required age. Outdoor adventure toys, like bikes, kids are required to be dressed in the suitable gear coupled with the proper bike wear for their protection. There are employees that deserve to be recognized and appreciating their contributions will surely motivate them more to do better.
