Why people find it hard to get used to ipods

Everyone who owns an ipod, or even an iphone knows that there is no way that they can put data in to their phone or ipod without having to use itunes. All apple gadgets co exist with itunes and people who are not familiar with this might actually think that they either have a faulty device or they are doing something wrong and that is not always the case. This happened to me last year. I was given an ipod as a birthday gift by one of my brothers and getting used to it was a problem. I would try to import music in the ipod but it would not play even if the music was in the device. This was really frustrating because I even thought that I had messed up the ipod. That is when my brother told me to download itunes because that was the one program that would transfer music in to the ipod. At first I even thought that I would need the itunes uk support line but I did not. This was because installing itunes was not as hard as I expected.
