Yet Another Round of Japanese Invasion in the House

Tadaima that's what Maya said when she arrived only to be answered by Yuki with Okaeri. I was at a loss, did someone move our house to another dimension where English is no longer the native tongue? Michelle who noticed the look on my face (which must have been a combination of confusion, irritation, and sarcasm) laughed and said that Maya and Yuki have been obsessed with Japanese movies and dramas. Apparently in Japan when the person who just arrived home would say Tadaima (meaning I'm home) and those in the house would say Okaeri (welcome home). Great why not just say hi or smile or better yet grunt. Michelle was working on placing several ads for jobs in burton on trent area on several job sites online when Maya came in and just as like that her focus shifted from work to gossiping. After giving me a crash course on Nihongo she went ahead and turned her attention to the wanna-be Japanese duo and started asking questions about the latest Japanese movie out there.
